CHESHIRE SENIOR CENTER
The Cheshire Senior Center is located at 240 Maple Avenue and is open to residents 55 years of age or older and those whose spouses are 55 years of age or older. A list of current activities and special events are available by a monthly newsletter, which can be mailed or picked up at the center. There is an annual user fee of $5.00 per family/in-town residents and $10.00 per family/out-of-town residents. Hours are Monday thru Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The Center offers numerous opportunities for education, recreation and volunteering. For further information on classes and daily activities please call 272-8286. A nutritious meal is served daily at noon. Reservations must be made at least two days in advance before 11:30 a.m. There is a donation of $2.50 per meal. Menus are posted on the bulletin board at the center and in local newspapers. Home or office visits for the Social Worker can be arranged by calling 272-8030. She is available Monday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. A daily morning call can be arranged if needed.
Reservations for the mini-bus must be made one day in advance before 11:30 a.m. There is a donation of $.25 for each in-town pick-up or $2.00 each for out-of-town pick-up is expected. For further information call 272-0047.
