COUNTRY CLUB ROAD BRIDGE RESTRICTED

The Cheshire Public Works Department and Cheshire Police Department is advising the motoring public that the bridge on County Club Road at the Round Hill Road intersection will be restricted to one lane, for the foreseeable future. Stop signs are in place on each side of the bridge and motorists are required to use an alternating traffic pattern to cross this bridge. Suggested detours are posted.

CHESHIRE RANKED AMONG TOP 100 TOWNS

The August issue of Money Magazine has chosen the Town of Cheshire as one of the 100 best small towns to live in the nation. Cheshire was ranked number 72 out of the towns selected.

Focusing on small towns with a population between 8,500 and 50,000, the magazine evaluated attributes that are important to families: jobs/economy; housing affordability; safety; education and leisure/arts. The article noted that Cheshire is convenient to urban centers, has retained its historic charm yet also has affordable modern condos available, and is a great place for plant enthusiasts.
