The next Presidential Election is November 4, 2008.


Who is qualified to vote?

Anyone who is registered.
To register to vote, a person must meeting the following requirements:
1) the applicant must be a U.S. Citizen,
2) the applicant shall have attained the age of 18 years (17-year-olds may pre-register and will become eligible on their 18th birthday),
3) the applicant shall be a bona fide resident of the town in which he or she wishes to register. That is, their fixed home must be in the town in which the applicant intends to return when temproarily absent.

In person, a person may go to the Elections Department at Town Hall, to the Town Clerk's office or to the Cheshire Public Library.

Mail-in applications can be obtained from any of the above, through the Department of Motor Vehicles or through the hyperlink.
