LIBRARIAN Job Description

The Town invites qualified candidates to apply for the 35 hour per week position of Librarian (L-5). The successful candidate will provide professional public library programs and services for youth especially to very young children, birth to 6, performing essential functions of a Children’s Librarian such as coordinating children’s services operations with other library services and functions, reference service to children, preparing, presenting and supervising program presenters, assists in selection and withdrawl of children’s print and non-print collections, solid knowledge of trends and extensive knowledge of age appropriate story time ideas.
