The Cheshire Public Library is the information, cultural and continuing education center of the community. The mission of the Cheshire Public Library is to provide a conducive environment and the necessary tools to meet every Cheshire resident’s need for information, education cultural growth and recreation. The Library contains over 120,000 items in its varied collections.

Monday through Thursday - 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Friday (and Saturday, September through June) - 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

As of July 1, 2009, the Cheshire Public Library will no longer mail paper overdue courtesy notices to patrons. Patrons are encouraged to sign up for email delivery of library notices by visiting the library and filling out an opt-in form before July 1.
