RWA update regarding water use

Friday, July 24, 2020

With moderate drought, abnormally dry conditions around Connecticut and more residents being home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the RWA has recently seen an unprecedented increase in water use and demand continues to rise.

While RWA states their reservoirs are at healthy levels, the increased demand can place a strain on distribution and treatment systems. For this reason, RWA is asking customers to reduce their non-essential water use by 10 percent.

To further promote wise water use throughout the summer please visit the RWA's website and learn more about their “Water Wise Ways” campaign.
