The Cheshire Police Department works to ensure and protect the safety and welfare of all Cheshire residents and visitors to maintain and enhance the quality of life. The department is comprised of five divisions with 49 sworn officers, five civilian dispatchers, four civilian administrative personnel, and two Animal Control officers.

Citizen Police Academy
This 8-week academy course will expose students to the functions of our officers while learning from our community representatives.
Classes will be held on Tuesdays for eight (8) weeks beginning on October 27th from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM and will be held in the CPD Training Room.
Application deadline is October 16th and enrollment is limited to 20 students. (Apply here)
