PRISON ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Cheshire Prison Advisory Committee is composed of five 5 residents. Our goal is to address concerns and issues that arise as a result of the three prisons located in Cheshire. We take any concerns that are brought to our attention to the Department of Correction and work with them to resolve the issues. When needed, we can direct people to the appropriate person within the Department of Correction so they can address their concerns directly. We also work closely with the Cheshire Police Department.
The Prison Advisory Committee also works to maintain the computerized notification system which is set up to keep residents notified of any incident at any of the prisons in our town. The system is free of charge and available to Cheshire residents. An application can be obtained from this website or at the Cheshire Police Department.

MEETINGS
The Prison Advisory Committee meets four times per year, and more often if necessary. Meetings are open to the public, and are held at 5:30 p.m. at Cheshire Town Hall (Room 210) unless posted otherwise.
