Ice Skating Rink Update

 2018 Ice Rink Picture Pre-Opening

We are excited to announce that the Greg Schena Memorial Ice Skating Rink at Bartlem Park is now open! Ice skating is free to the public; you are required to bring your own skates and protective gear. The rink will be open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (hours subject to change).  The skating area is unsupervised. Use of rink is “At Your Own Risk” and parents/guardians are responsible for children. Helmets and protective gear are strongly encouraged. The rink is intended for recreational skating use only; sticks and pucks are not permitted on the ice rink.

On Thursday, January 18, 2018 (make-up date January 25, 2018) from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., the Cheshire Recreation Department will be hosting a Special Family Night at the rink which will include music, free hot chocolate (while supplies last) and pictures with Olaf the Snowman from Frozen!

Directions

From Hartford and North:

VIA I-91
Take I-91 South to Exit 18 onto I-691 West.  Take Exit 3 to the end.  Turn left onto Route 10 South.  Travel approximately 5 miles to the Youth Center entrance on the right just past Cheshire High School.

VIA I-84
Take I-84 West to Exit 27 onto I-691 East.  Take Exit 3 to the end.  Turn right onto Route 10 South.  Travel approximately 5 miles to the Youth Center entrance on the right just past Cheshire High School.


From New Haven and South:

VIA I-91
Take I-91 North to Exit 10. Take Rt. 40 connector to end.  Turn right onto Rt. 10 North.  Travel approximately 6 miles to the Youth Center entrance on the left, which is just before Cheshire High School.

VIA I-15
Take I-15 North to Exit 61.  Turn right at end of ramp onto Whitney Avenue, which becomes Rt. 10 North.  Travel approximately 7.5 miles to the Youth Center entrance on the left, which is just before Cheshire High School.


From Waterbury and West:

VIA I-84
Take I-84 East to Exit 26 onto Rt. 70.  Travel approximately 4 miles to traffic light (Getty Station on corner).  Turn right at light onto Main Street.  Travel .3 miles.  Turn right at light onto Route 10 South.  Travel approximately 1 mile to the Youth Center entrance on the right just past Cheshire High School.
