  • The ice rink is closed due to unsafe surface conditions. 
  • There are no weather related program cancellations at this time.

  • Cancellations and changes will be available here within the hour before your program is scheduled to begin. Cancellations and other announcements will also be posted on Facebook and Twitter and available on the Information Hotline (203) 250-2470.

  • Please check back before heading out to your programs as this information may change throughout the day depending on the weather. Facebook, Twitter and our Hotline will all be updated if necessary.

 2018 Ice Rink Picture Pre-Opening

We are excited to announce that the Greg Schena Memorial Ice Skating Rink at Bartlem Park is now open! Ice skating is free to the public; you are required to bring your own skates and protective gear. The rink will be open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (hours subject to change).  The skating area is unsupervised. Use of rink is “At Your Own Risk” and parents/guardians are responsible for children. Helmets and protective gear are strongly encouraged. The rink is intended for recreational skating use only; sticks and pucks are not permitted on the ice rink.

A special thank you to the Schena Family and the Cheshire Lion’s Club for their donations that made this rink possible.

Veterans invited to have names added to memorial plaques!

Applications for Veterans to have their names added to the memorial plaques at the Veterans Memorial Plaza at Town Hall are still being accepted. The deadline was originally November 1, 2017, so please submit your application ASAP. Applications may be downloaded here and are also available at the Parks & Rec. office.
