Liquor Permits: per the Governor's Executive Order No. 7W

  • Renewal date for on-premise liquor permits has been extended. This modifies state statutes to provide that all on-premise liquor permits in active status when Executive Order No. 7D went into effect on 3/16/2020 shall be extended by four months, including any business whose permit expired between 3/16-4/9/2020.
  • Permit need not be recorded with the town clerk. This suspends state statutes and regulations in all towns where the town clerk's office is closed or so reduced in hours that it makes it unreasonable to have permits recorded. Permits shall be recorded as soon as the town clerk's office is reopened and staffed for routine business.

Note to Funeral Directors Death Certificates, cremation/burial permits can be sumitted by mail or call ahead for an appointment at 203-271-6601.

        * For a list of subregistrars, click here.

        * If possible, email a copy of the death certificate so we can prepare the burial permit. Please include the number of certificates needed.
