The next scheduled collection delay is Thursday, November 23 (Thanksgiving Day.) Trash/recycle collection will be delayed one day on both Thursday and Friday that week.
Green recycle containers are assigned to each residence. They should be placed curbside with the wheels away from the street. The lid must close. A second container may be assigned to the residence, upon request (203-271-6650).
Residents provide their own cans for refuse collections. Trash collection trucks are NOT automated, so cans must weigh less than 75 pounds when full.
Put containers curb-side the night before collection day. Trash/recycles may be picked up as early as 5:30 a.m. and pick-up times may vary from week to week.
During the winter months, trash/recycle collection may be delayed; please be patient. Please keep containers clear of snow/ice and safely accessible for collection. If collection cannot occur on a snowy day, that information will be posted here as soon as it is known.
Call Public Works at 203-271-6650 to report any problems or missed pick ups.
Residents are reminded that the hauler picks up only normal household trash.

Hazardous waste can be brought to Hazwaste Central in New Haven - click here for more information, or call 203-401-2712. There is no charge, but proof of residency is required.
For bulky items, there is a private transfer station in town. Please call 203-272-4039 for hours and fees.
