4th and 5th Grade - First Friday Night Events at the Yellow House

Cheshire Youth Services is pleased to announce First Friday Night Events at the Yellow House for Cheshire residents in the 4th & 5th grade during the 2017 - 2018 school year.  Come join us and check out all the fun at the Yellow House!  Please see the attached for pre-registration and detailed information.  Hope to see you there!

 

6th Grade Winter 2017 - 2018 Yellow House Activities

Cheshire Youth Services is pleased to announce the schedule for Winter 2017 - 2018 Activities at the Yellow House.  These events are available to Cheshire students who are in the 6th grade during the 2017 - 2018 school year.  See the attached flyer/registration form for details.

Volunteer to be a Teen Helper!

If you are a Cheshire resident in the 10th - 12th grade volunteer to be a teen helper for our 4th - 8th grade Yellow House events.  It's a great way to earn community service hours during the school year!  Please see attached flyer/registration for details.

 

Youth Literacy Program - Winter 2018

Your child is invited to participate in Cheshire Youth Services' Youth Literacy Program.  This program is open to Cheshire residents enrolled in 1st & 2nd grade.  The 5 week winter themed program begins on Saturday, February 24, 2018 - Saturday, March 23, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon.  Please see the attached flyer for information and registration.

 

Youth Literacy Program Winter 2018 - Teen Mentor

Volunteer to become a Teen Mentor!  This is a partnership between Cheshire students in 8th - 12th grade and young readers to promote confidence and build literacy skills.   Please see the attached flyer for details and registration.

 

R.A.D. - L.A.B.S for Cheshire 3rd - 5th Graders - Winter 2018

Your child is invited to participate in Cheshire Youth in Action's Research and Discovery - Learning and Building of Science (R.A.D.-L.A.B.S.) Program.  This is open to Cheshire students in 3rd - 5th grade to promote confidence and to develop an interest in the sciences, all while having fun! Please see the attached flyer for details and registration.  Please Note:  Space is limited to 13 students.

 

R.A.D. - L.A.B.S - Winter 2018 - Teen Mentor

Become a Teen Mentor for a FUN Science based program!  Be a part of our program pairing 3rd - 5th graders with high school students, designed to promote confidence and to help students develop an interest in the sciences. Please see the attached flyer for details and registration.

Please complete and return to register for any Yellow House trips.  

 

Youth Employment Services - YES

Are you in need of some part-time help? If your answer is yes, then you should look into Youth Employment Services (YES). The YES program operates in the fashion of many job bank programs throughout the nation. YES matches middle and high school students seeing work, with employers and homeowners needing assistance. The YES database has over 100 youths seeking employment in such areas of yardwork, snow shoveling, housework, and babysitting.  If you are interested in hiring a YES youth, please contact Cheshire Youth Services at 271-6690 or e-mail at cheshire youthservices@cheshirect.org. A flyer/registration form is attached for students interested in becoming a member of the YES program.
