There are three categories of trimming that are color-coded on the map as follows:
PINK and BLACK- Enhanced Trimming and Backbone Trimming, planned for summer/fall 2017: Agressive trimming, removal, and pruning. MAP
GREEN: Scheduled Maintenance Trimming, planned for October 2017: Pruning to maintain clearance to the wires. Occasional removals. MAP
EverSource has obtained a permit to conduct work on Town property, including Rights-of-Way.
EverSource is contacting residents who have targeted trees on private property. Residents must agree to the work before it can be accomplished, unless the tree limbs are touching the wires and show signs of having been burned. In that case, it is considered a hazard and Eversource can remove the tree without consent.
