Fingerprinting Services: 

Fingerprint services are available on Monday and Saturday on any non-holiday between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.


All Cheshire residents and individuals employed by, or seeking employment with, a business in the Town of Cheshire, may come to the Cheshire Police Department and have their fingerprints taken.  


There is a $5.00 fee for fingerprinting services and valid photo identification is required. Each session takes approximately 15-20 minutes and the $5.00 fee will be waived for Pistol Permit applications and Child I.D. fingerprinting services.


Pistol Permit Applicants:

Fingerprints will only be taken when a completed application packet is turned in to the Records Division with payment.  Applicants can schedule an appointment with Ofc. Kevin Costa by email (preferred) or by phone (203) 271-5517.  Download the most current application HERE.


Child Safety Seat Inspections:

Contact Ofc. Kristian Johnson at 203-271-5544 or email kejohnson@cheshirect.org to schedule an appointment.  If possible, please arrange to bring your child and all safety seat instructions to the inspection.

Rape Aggression Defense Class (R.A.D.)

The Rape Aggression Defense System, or "RAD" is a program of realistic, self-defense tactics and techniques. It is a comprehensive course for women that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.
