The Town Clerk’s Office is responsible for recording, maintaining and preserving land records, maps, vital statistics and other municipal records, including meeting minutes of all official boards, commissions and committees, for access by the public.

Town Clerk's Office is open on a limited basis to the public in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Staff is in the office and business is still being conducted by mail, email, erecording and phone.

Please feel free to use the new State of CT Official Ballot Drop Box for all Town Clerk documents (absentee ballot applications, ballots, dog licenses, recordings). Located just to the right of the parking lot entry door at Town Hall.

Absentee ballot applications (click here) are being accepted now for the November 3rd election. You may use "COVID-19" as your reason for voting by absentee ballot. All registered voters will receive an absentee ballot application from the State (this has our return address even though it was sent by the State); if you receive the State application after you have already submitted an application, please do not submit a second application. Applications get submitted to the Town Clerk's Office or to the Ballot Box outside.

The Town Clerk's Office will be open on Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. This will allow people to receive an absentee ballot in person for the November 3, 2020 election if they haven't already and wish to do so.
