Monetary donations are accepted for the following programs: -Cheshire Fuel Bank, which provides assistance to Cheshire residents who are in an emergency situation; -Cheshire Food Drive, Inc., which provides eligible residents with $40 Food Vouchers to local grocery stores. The Cheshire Food Pantry accepts monetary donations through their website, which are used to purchase perishable items and personal care/cleaning items.
The first weekend of November, the town hold the annual Cheshire Food Drive, collecting non-perishable food for the Cheshire Food Pantry. Donations of food can be left at the Cheshire Food Pantry year-round. Contact them to (203-699-9226) or visit their website for more information.
Both the Cheshire Food Drive and the Cheshire Food Pantry have opportunities for people to volunteer their time to help our community.
